Dettling Family Farms

The Dettling Family tradition was started in 1940 by Steve Dettling. In 1965 Steve's son Richard, pioneered the farm into the tomato industry. Richard and his wife Karen set up headquarters in Knights Landing, CA, where they brought their son Bob into the business in 1991.

Bob and his wife Natalie run the farm together today, keeping the family atmosphere that began years ago. Currently they are farming in Yolo, Sutter, Colusa, and Solano counties growing crops such as Tomatos, Rice, Alfalfa, Wheat and Safflower. Being spread out along 4 counties and diversified in many crops, Bob surrounds himself with employees that feel the same passion he has for growing quality food. Bob works side by side with his men in the fields, getting dirty, making decisions, asking their opinions, and respecting their ideas. Dettling Farms values their employees and considers them like family. They believe that it takes everyone doing their job to keep the farm running efficiently.

Though much has changed in the industry of canning tomatoes one thing has remained constant; The Dettling Family takes pride in growing top quality tomatoes that we hope will bring your family together to the dinner table.
