Dettling Family Farms

Dettling Family Farms The Dettling Family tradition was started in 1940 by Steve Dettling. In 1965 Steve's son Richard, pioneered the farm into the tomato industry. Richard and his wife Karen set up headquarters in Knights Landing, CA, where they brought their son Bob into the business in 1991.

Bob and his wife Natalie run the farm together today, keeping the family atmosphere that began years ago. Currently they are farming in Yolo, Sutter, Colusa, and Solano counties growing crops such as Tomatos, Rice... [ read more ]


Intermountain Horseradish

Inter Mountain Intermountain Horseradish was developed by two growers in the Intermountain Area (Burney-Fall River), in the northeastern corner of California. With the help of a local farm advisor, Matt Magnuson from the Black Ranch and Craig Knoch from the Knoch's Ranch began their horseradish production just five years ago.


Each grower started their production from only three roots. They cut the roots into 1" pieces and planted them in rich soil... [ read more ]



Johl Company

Johl Orchard The beginnings of Johl Company trace back to 1963 when Gurbax Johl and his eldest son, Parmjit, immigrated to the United States, while looking to build a better life for their family who were still living in the Punjab region of India. From the humble beginnings of working for other local farmers they were able to save up enough money to purchase the family's first cling peach orchard in 1966. This paved the way for the arrival of the rest of the Johl family, including youngest son Sarb.

Kimberley Wine Vinegars

Kimberley The Alexander family of Lodi, California has been growing and producing grapes in many different fashions for four generations. Kimberly Wine Vinegars was started in the mid 1970's in the Bay Area and was dependent on tailored wines from the Alexander family.

Warda Farms

Kimberley In 1962, Julius and Ethel Warda started our farm in the heart of California's central valley. For three generations their commitments to integrity, hard work, and family have remained the foundation of our business. Over the years we have grown several types of crops on the valley's fertile soil including almonds, peaches, grapes, beans, walnuts, and sweet potatoes.

Norene Ranches

Norene Ranches The farming community of Rio Oso is nestled alongside the Bear River in South Sutter County. To the north Dry Creek, to the south Yankee Slough, they identify the borders that capture the deep, rich and fertile soils of this orchard oasis.

Rue & Forsman Ranch, Inc.

Rue & Forsman Ranch, Inc. Rue & Forsman Ranch, Inc. was formed in 1946 by Frank Rue and John Forsman. They began raising beef cattle in the 1940's after graduating from UC Davis and Stanford respectively. Soon after forming the partnership, they bought a ranch approximately 10 miles south of Marysville, CA. Frank Rue raised his family on the ranch.

His son, Michael Rue, came back to the ranching business after finishing his degrees at UC Davis. Michael decided that the clay soils on the ranch would be suitable for rice production... [ read more ]
